Dawn of the Unread - Issue #2

Slavomir Rawicz's escape from a Gulag camp in Siberia and subsequent trek across the Gobi Desert, the Himalayas and India are explored by political cartoonist Brick (aka John Clark). The comic-book story features embedded links which reveal hidden content including childhood flashbacks and excerpts from a fictional travel-writing publication; Mountain Forest Desert magazine.

Artist/Writer - John 'Brick' Clark
John has created illustrations for just about every publication you can imagine. He has also written graphic novels and researched hundred of travel features.
My Life With Slav charts John's personal journey and that of his childhood hero Slavomir Rawicz. We also learn how he became inspired to travel the world and of a chance encounter with Rawicz in Nottingham.

Colourist - Jessica Parry
Jess started out as a hobbyist but is slowly developing her own portfolio as a freelance artist. She is currently studying Games Design at Confetti Institute for Creative Technologies with an interest in Manga, Anime, 3D modelling, animation, concept art and digital storytelling. Jess is the sole colourist for the Dawn of the Unread project.
